Escrow Policy

Tejas Industries (Proprietorship Firm) · Proprietor: Mr. Jalindar Eknath Shendge · GSTIN 27BWSPS9801C1Z2 · Survey No 312/1, Puntamba Road, Village Kokamthan, Taluka Kopargaon, District Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra 423601, India

This Policy explains how buyer funds are held, protected, released or refunded on GoPrintPack™. Our escrow is operated through Razorpay, a non-bank Payment Aggregator licensed by the RBI under the Guidelines on Regulation of Payment Aggregators and Payment Gateways (RBI PA/PG Guidelines, 2020). Funds are swept into Razorpay's nodal / escrow account, held under RBI regulation, and released only in accordance with this Policy.

1. When Escrow is Created

Escrow is created the moment a Buyer awards a sealed bid. The awarded amount (gross, inclusive of GST) is captured by Razorpay and swept into the escrow account. Until escrow is captured, no artwork is released, no supplier identity is unmasked, and the Buyer may walk away without penalty.

Direct bank transfers to Tejas Industries or any off-platform payment are not escrow-protected and are expressly discouraged — see Dispute Resolution Policy §7.

2. Escrow Status Lifecycle

StatusMeaning
In EscrowFunds captured, held with Razorpay, not released
FrozenA dispute is open; auto-release is suspended indefinitely
On HoldAdmin has manually paused the release (anti-fraud, re-verification)
ReleasedPayout executed to Printer's registered bank account
RefundedFull refund issued to Buyer
Settled (Partial Split)Both a refund and a payout have been executed per admin verdict

3. Standard Release Lifecycle

  1. Award → escrow captured (In Escrow)
  2. Artwork released → press-ready files unlocked for the Printer
  3. Production milestones logged by the Printer
  4. Dispatch via Shiprocket B2B blind-ship → tracking appended
  5. Buyer confirms delivery → payout released immediately (Released)
  6. Zoho Books generates the Tax Invoice, E-Way Bill (where applicable) and Vendor Bill with TDS

4. Auto-Release Window

If the Buyer does not confirm or dispute within 7 days of dispatch, escrow is auto-released to the Printer. The Buyer still retains the right to raise a dispute within 15 days of the auto-release.

Auto-release is suspended if the job is disputed, payment is Frozen or On Hold, or Admin has deferred release.

5. Deductions from Escrow at Release

5A. Sub-RFQ Escrow (Material Suppliers & Finishing Partners)

  1. Created: when the Printer awards a sub-RFQ and pays the quote + applicable GST (18% materials / 5% finishing job work) through Razorpay.
  2. Held: until the partner marks the order dispatched and the Printer confirms receipt.
  3. Released: to the partner as quote + the partner's GST − plan platform fee − 18% GST on the fee − 1% TDS, via Razorpay Route or manual UTR payout.
  4. Stale payments: if the sub-RFQ was cancelled or already awarded when payment lands, the RFQ is not awarded and the amount is refunded.

6. Freezing Escrow

Escrow is frozen the moment a dispute is opened. No funds move until the dispute is resolved by admin verdict or mutually withdrawn. Admin may additionally place escrow On Hold on receipt of a risk flag — KYC re-verification required, chargeback alert from Razorpay, suspected off-platform collusion, or regulatory enquiry. Frozen / held escrow does not accrue interest to either party.

7. Dispute-Driven Releases

VerdictEscrow movement
Refund BuyerFull gross refunded to Buyer via Razorpay refund API; Printer gets ₹0
Pay PrinterFull payout to Printer (less commission + GST + TDS)
ReprintPrinter paid in full; Printer undertakes to reprint at own cost
Partial SplitAdmin sets split_pct_to_buyer (0–100); Buyer gets that %, remainder to Printer net of commission, GST, TDS

8. Refunds

Refunds are initiated through Razorpay to the original payment instrument. Credit timeline depends on the issuing bank (typically 5–7 working days in India). See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the detailed grid.

9. Buyer Protection Guarantees

  • No release before dispatch — no funds leave escrow until the Printer uploads a valid Shiprocket B2B label.
  • Blind-shipped identity shield — Printer's name, address and GSTIN are never shown to the Buyer.
  • 7-day review window after dispatch to confirm or dispute.
  • 15-day post-auto-release dispute window if the 7-day confirmation was missed.
  • Independent Payment Aggregator — funds sit with Razorpay, not with Tejas Industries.
  • Transparent audit trail of every state transition.

10. Supplier Protection Guarantees

  • Escrow captured before artwork release.
  • TDS certificate issued promptly via Zoho Books.
  • Clear 4-verdict grid with no scope for ad-hoc deductions.
  • 48-hour evidence window on every dispute.
  • No permanent freezing — admin publishes a target resolution of 7 working days.

11. Fees Related to Escrow

Tejas Industries does not levy any additional 'escrow fee' beyond the plan commission (already inside the supplier's Gross Bid) and taxes. Buyers never pay a separate platform fee. Razorpay PA/PG fees are absorbed by Tejas Industries. Where a specific payout mode (e.g. same-day settlement) attracts a Razorpay surcharge, it may be passed through transparently.

12. Limitations

Escrow is available only for Platform-initiated INR transactions. Cross-border and non-INR flows are not supported. Escrow is not a bank deposit and is not covered by DICGC. Liability is capped per Terms of Service §11.

13. Grievances

Write to info@goprintpack.com with your Order ID. Acknowledgement within 24 hours; target resolution within 7 working days (15 for complex matters). Escalations may be filed with the RBI Ombudsman Scheme for Digital Transactions, 2019 where applicable.
